HOW TO REMINERALISE YOUR TEETH

Apart from cavities & tooth decay our tooth eventually wore away as we ages. Not only from the contact surfaces but from overall tooth surface.
Our teeth apart from helping us to chew food & express our happiness through smiling are also a major factor that defines the shape of our face.Teeth are the contact surface between our upper & lower jaw as our molars wore away with age, injury or bruxism (habit of grinding teeth during sleep) the distance between our upper & lower jaw decreases as a result our face loses its lenght. It may also cause our chin to appear receded, the lips appeare to be pressed together giving a pissed off or annoyed appearance. And you appear way older than you are.
One of the best way to minimize damage is to rinse your mouth after every meal,to brush after atleast half  an hour after eating,as the enamel is soft after eating.
But this can only delay the damage not eliminate it,as there is no remineralisation going on.A number of people online advice to not to rinse after brushing,so as to aid the calcium absorption by the teeth by keeping the toothpaste in mouth for long time, but after some research on of fluoride,i found it to be a dangerous advise.Because the same fluoride(in the toothpaste) that helps calcium absorption, can cause bone cancer if taken internally.

I improvised a method which i found to be helpful, now i am going to share it with you.

Things you will need:
  • TEETH GUARD(boxing guard will do)
  • CALCIUM CARBONATE TABLETS OR POWDER
As custom dental night guard will be much more comfortable but they cost hell lot of money, boxing guard on the other hand are readily available on any sports shop,& are dirt cheap.Just dip the guard in hot water(not boiling) for few seconds,it will become soft, immediately put it in your mouth & bite hard on it,also press it with your fingers on your teeth from the outside at the same time, this will help the guard adapt to the shape of your teeth from the front & sides as well. The thinner the mouth guard the more comfortable it will be.However you may still have to sacrifice first few nights sleep with this mouthguard on to get a hang of it.

PROCEDURE
Brush your teeth before going to sleep(use fluoride toothpaste, but rinse after use).Chew half calcium tablet, try not to swallow it & immediately put on the teeth guard.Lie down & start counting the sheep...

Even after you rinse,a little bit of fluoride remains in your oral cavity after brushing, when you chew calcium tablet,a layer of calcium forms around your teeth which will stay that way overnight with the help of tooth guard.Fluoride helps your enamel to absorb the available calcium & just after one or two weeks you will feel the difference in your teeth. If you have sensitive teeth you will feel the pain gradually diminishing over time,as the newly formed enamel will seal the exposed nerve endings.

Do share your result in comments...goodluck!
